Young girl saved thanks to help from Telha Foundation

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

A young orphan named Inshall was treated for diphtheria at a Telha Foundation medical camp. Thanks to the organization of the camp, Dr. Khalis Usman was able to give Inshall needed medicine on October 24, 2018. She required additional treatment and was able to get it for free from Dr. Muhammas Iqbal at a second medical camp held on January 3, 2019. Diphtheria is an infectious disease that is deadly in 5-10% of people who contract it, but in the United States we have been vaccinating against it since the 1980's. Dr. Iqbal said that had Inshall not received the first treatment, her situation would have been dire. Today Inshall is fully cured of diphtheria and can be seen playing below.
